Where is The Wire?
I know a lot of people may have visited this blog lately and have constantly refreshed to the same page. Unfortunately, due to a lot of changes in my personal life, The Wire is forced to take a back seat for a while. The Wire will take a more personal route for a bit as I get my career straightened out. I definitely appreciate anyone and everyone who visits and I hope to return The Wire to its regularly scheduled programming as soon as possible. Thank You.

This looks to be the cog campaign that Cliff briefly touched on recently. A code has been found by SarcasticGamer to unlock a piece of the puzzle. Click on the cog symbol and type in ‘529369-blxil-el‘ minus the quotes and dashes to obtain a carmine icon. The rest is up to fans to unlock.

It seems those rumors I posted yesterday turned out to be true as Gamepro has confirmed the news to Xbox 360 Fanboy. The Golden Hammerburst will be available as a free download to any Gearheads that attend a midnight launch. The ‘Flashback’ map pack will include remakes of Gridlock, Canals, Tyro Station, Subway and Mansion. It is a free download available on day one and can only be found in new copies of the game.  15 Maps announced and only 35 days to go.

A new version of Nintendo’s popular DS system has been announced today at Nintendo’s Fall Press Conference.
- Screens are now 17% bigger compared to the DS Lite.
- Audio enhancements include the ability to adjust pitch and playback, making it ideal for language study and listening to music.
- Built in 3 Megapixel Camera on the top and a camera on the inside that sits on the hinge.
- SD Memory Card slot to store pictures and music.
- Built in web browser and music player.
- Built in software lets you speed up or slow down songs, change the pitch, and filter tracks. So you can do things like isolating the lyrics.
- Picture effects can be added that include face composition that combine faces, distortion, superimposing face altering expressions and adding picture frames.
- Using the mic, it’s possible to record up to 10 seconds of sound.
- DSi shop is included so gamers can download DSiWare.
- DSiWare comes in 4 flavors: Free, 200 points, 500 points and “Premium” or 800 points.
- Free 1000 points that expire in March 2010.
- Available in Japan November 1st in and priced at ¥18,900 (US$179). It will be available in white and black.
- Available in North America Late 2009.
